Why should I choose Northern Edge?
Northern Edge Elite Hockey is the premier hockey school
in the industry.
We have the lowest instructor to student ratio, and our
attention to the smallest detail ensures that the player
not only learns the most, but also has a great time. We
offer specialized instruction and with a professional staff,
the player is guaranteed to become the best he or she can
be.

We
want to send our child out of state. Is there any reason
we should attend Northern Edge instead?
Why
send your child out of town when you can have the best experience
for your child at home. Out of town camps cost exorbitant
amounts of money, and there is no way of monitoring your
child's progress. NEEHS brings the most intense training
in a fun environment to your home rink: you can watch the
training and see the personal interaction between our instructors
and your child first hand.

What is a typical camp day?
Each Northern Edge Day is special, and has a theme that is consistent on and off the ice.
The day is full, and packed with learning as well as fun. The player will be tired when
s/he gets home! Here is a sample of a typical day. (Due to the difference in ice times
and program offering at various locations, these times are for example only.) Exact
times for each camp will be posted online approximately two weeks prior to the first
day of camp.
FOR A FULL DAY CAMP: (Example only)
- 8:00AM Drop off
- 8:30-10:30AM On-Ice
- 10:45-11:15AM Plyometrics & off-ice skills (stick handling, quick feet etc)
- 11:30-12:00PM Lunch (lunch program offered by some rinks)
- 12:30-2:30PM On-Ice
- 2:45-3:15PM Instructional video
- 3:15-4:30PM Off-Ice games

What is the difference between the Advanced Skills & Game Concepts and the Skills Development Camp?
The fundamentals of these two programs are essentially the
same. While the Advanced Skills week offers more ice time,
we recommend any player not playing at the elite level to
attend our skills development camp. The drills are similar
and the competition may be harder at the Advanced Skills
week, but many players (up to and including house select
players) would benefit more from the Skills Development
Camp. The Advanced Skills week was designed to encourage
high level players to continue to train at the elite level;
more is demanded from these players and the competition is
high!

What is the Total Offense Clinic all about?
The Total Offense program incorporates the learning of all skills necessary to be an effective offensive player. Players are taught that being an effective offensive player requires diligence, work ethic and practicing seemingly small details. This is not just a shooting program (but seemingly a million pucks get shot): instead, players learn how to create their own scoring chances. While there are a few natural goal scorers, players are shown through on-ice drills and extensive video that most goals are scored by getting the puck to the net and driving the cage with a purpose. The instructors will put the players in uncomfortable situations and challenge them to get scoring chances. It is no wonder that this is the most popular Northern Edge Program!
